Ian Price is a up and coming musician from Dallas, Texas. At 5 years old he began taking piano lessons, and soon fell in love with the piano and music. Shortly after, he began competing in both piano and music theory competitions around the DFW area. At the age of 13, Ian picked up a guitar and began teaching himself how to play based on former knowledge from the piano, before being put into classical and jazz guitar lessons where he began to find the direction he wanted to go with the instrument. In 2023, at 19 years old he was honored to be ranked as one of the top 10 young guitarists in the country, and performed in the Dallas International Guitar Festival, as well as the opening of the Garland Square. He is the lead guitarist for I Am Spartacus, as well as Hollow Effigy. Ian has taught at two music schools before making the decision to go his own way (focusing on guitar, piano, and bass) to teach theory based curriculum that will help his students excel in the musical world. He is currently a music education major focusing on classical studies and music theory, and is excited to meet new students, and see what the future has in store.
